Microsoft Outlook Express is a program that manages your email. There are many programs that you can use for your email, but we recommend using Outlook or Eudora. If Outlook isn't already on your computer we recommend going with Eudora.

Configuring Outlook Express:

  • The first step is to open up Outlook Express. Depending on the version of Windows you are using, you can usually find it either next to your start button in your taskbar, or by looking under: Start - Programs - Outlook Express.
  • After Outlook is opened, select "Tools" at the top of the screen.
  • From there select "Accounts".
  • At the top select the "Mail" tab.
  • If there are any accounts listed, go ahead and delete them.
  • After doing this, to the right click the "Add" button.
  • Select "Mail".
  • For "Display Name" put anything you desire (Reminder: Whatever you type here will be seen by EVERYONE you send email to.)
  • After entering that click "Next".
  • Now it asks for your email address, go ahead and enter it and then click next. (If you are an EES customer your email address should be yourusername@ees.eesc.com)
  • On the next screen it asks for an incoming and an outgoing mail server, for both of these type:ees.eesc.com
  • Click "Next".
  • Now you should see your user name in the space and below it there is a space to enter your password, enter it and it is up to you if you want to check the box to remember your password.
  • After doing that click the "Next" button.
  • Now click the "Finish" button and you're all set!
