Online Walk-Thru: Your EES ISP Account

If you prefer to configure your own computer for EES internet service dial-up, simply follow the directions below.

STEP 1 : Network Settings

  • From your Windows desktop double-click on the "My Computer" icon.

  • Next double-click on the "Control Panel" icon.

  • Next double-click on  the "Network" icon.

  • Beneath where it says "The following network componenets are installed:" remove everything except "Client for Microsoft Networks", "Microsoft Family Login", "TCP/IP", and "Dialup Adapter".

  • To remove items click on the item to highlight it and then click the remove button.

  • After removing the necessary items highlight "TCP/IP" and then click the properties button.

  • If a box comes up saying "You have asked to change....." click the OK button.

  • Next click on the "WINS Configuration" tab.

  • Click the "Disable Wins Resolution" option.

  • Next click on the "DNS Configuration" tab.

  • Click in the circle to enable DNS.

  • In the box to the right of "Host" put in your username (No spaces & All lowercase).

  • In the box to the right of "Domain" put in "eesc.com".

  • Now,  below there's a box with 3 dots in it, click in the left of the box.

  • Type in 139.171.88.2 and click the "Add" button to the right.

  • Click back in the box with the 3 dots.

  • Type in 139.171.88.4 and click the "Add" button to the right.

  • Now click on "OK".

  • Click "OK" again.

  • Your computer will ask you to restart or insert your Windows CD, go ahead and do which ever it asks.

STEP 2 : Dialup Networking Settings

  • After your computer is done restarting, close everything so that you are back at your desktop.
  • Double-click on "My Computer".
  • Double-click on "Dialup Networking".
  • If you see an icon that says "Make a new connection" double-click on that. If you don't see it then it has automatically opened for you.
  • Where it says "Type a name for the computer you are dialing" put in "EES" and click "Next".
  • Now put in the phone # you are dialing (call us for the #).
  • After putting in the phone # click "Next".
  • Now click on "Finsh".
  • You should now see a new icon that says "EES" under it.
  • Place your mouse on the icon and click the RIGHT mouse button once.
  • Click on properties.
  • Select the "Server Types" tab.
  • Now uncheck everything except "TCP/IP" and "Enable software compression".
  • Click "OK".
  • Now place your mouse back on the EES icon and click the RIGHT mouse button again.
  • This time select "create shortcut".
  • It will say "Windows can not create a short cut here...." , click "Yes".
  • Now close out of everything and you will see a new icon on your desktop that says "Shortcut to EES".
  • To connect to the internet double-click on this icon and enter your username and password then click "Connect".
  • After you are connected, open your web browser (ex. Internet Explorer or Netscape) and you're all set! Have fun!
